Last Day in Korea

today is the last day and we went to eat "sam gap tang" (chicken with ginseng and other herbs boiled in a soup for a very long time, and stuffed inside the chicken was rice). It was sooooo good. Thirteen US dollars though, but Su said that it was a traditional korean dish where it is supposed to be really healthy for you and you should eat it during the hot days in the summer. After that, we went to the korean castle, and then to the Coex Shopping Mall.

It took about 45 minutes on the subway to go there, but unfortunately, the stores in the Coex mall are more name-brand expensive stuff so i didnt do any shopping. At that mall, we had Red Mango. At Red Mango, they offer a variety of non fat frozen yogurt ice cream, shaved ice, shaved yogurt sorbert, freshly made on the spot waffles with yogurt and fruit topping. Out of the 6 of us, we ordered a large thing is this thing where it had 3 scoops of strawberry sorbert, raspberries, granola, raspberry shaved ice on the bottom and topped with a large swirl of yogurt soft serve ice cream. SOOOO GOOOOD. That was 13 US dollars though for the large. Then we also ordered a large cranberry waffle which came with an extra three mounds of yogurt soft serve ice cream. IT WAS RIDICULOUSLY GOOD. Ivan says that we have Red Mango in the states, but I don't think Minnesota has it. BOO!! YUM YUM im drooling just thinking about it.

So we ate lunch at about 1pm, and then we ate Red Mango at 4pm, then ate Kraze Burger inside the Coex mall at 4:30pm. At Kraze burger, i had the KG burger where it was meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, shitake mushrooms, mayo, and the kraze bugolgi sauce. IT WAS SOOOO GOOOOOOD TOOOO! My burger was 8,900 won, so about 8.90 US Dollars. MMM YUMMM. The burger was a good size too, but I think the bugolgi sauce really did the trick. After eating Kraze burger for a snack before dinner time, we had dinner at about 7:30pm at a place near the subway station Kyoek University? We ate korean bbq with bugolgi meat, sam gap sai meat, and another meat which i do not know what exactly it is...but nonetheless, IT WAS SOO GOOD.

Then, we took the subway to Myeongdong to do more last minute shopping! I bought 2 pairs of heels (each were 34 USD), 1 pair of gladiator sandals (28 USD), one white button up shirt for 10 USD, 1 red cardigan for 10 USD. Then it started raining around 11pm and everyone started packing up! The place was supposed to close at 11:30pm but the rain made vendors leave and go home early....BOO! The rain wasnt even that bad! Anyways, I didnt get to stop by krispy kreme to eat more doughnuts, but Ivan got a box of 6 but I dont think he is willing to share. boooo. Man i bought so much stuff. Good thing Nick brought a large suitcase hehehehehe!!!!!!!

I still have about 30,000 won leftover, so about 30 USD. Maybe ill just keep it as a "souvenior"? Who knows, maybe my roommate wants it. We leave tomorrow at 5am to head to the airport. The plane takes off at 8:10am and should be back in bejing by 9:10am or so...booo! We still have about 3 liters of pop left over in the fridge, 2 bottles of Soju, 1 bottle of Max beer, 5 cans of Welch, and one unopened korean meat red sauce. GAH What to do!!!!!!!!!!

  1. Dude I just looked it up! There's a Red Mango in Burnsville. We should go check it out when you get back!

Lol, are you going to be able to bring all that stuff back to the States?
